Refund Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

This policy covers

The amounts you pay to LeadCourse, such as converting the free trial into a paid subscription, renewals, plan upgrade charges, and subscription reactivation charges.

This policy does not cover

The amounts your students pay you. Those transactions are governed by your academy's own refund policy and are processed through your own payment gateway — see §7.

§1 — What you are charged and when

All of the following happens on the card you saved when you activated your academy. Prices are in Egyptian pounds. The annual plan costs the equivalent of 10 months of the monthly price.

Before charging you, we email the academy owner 3 days before the first payment, and 7 days before the annual renewal. For monthly renewals we do not send advance notice, but the date and amount of the next payment are always shown in Settings → Billing.

§2 — The basic rule

In short

Platform subscription fees are non-refundable. The free trial is your opportunity to evaluate the platform, and no subscription fee is charged before it ends.

2.1 Once a billing period has been paid, it can only be refunded in the cases set out in §3 and §4.

2.2 Cancelling the subscription does not trigger a refund. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, and you keep full capabilities until then. We do not refund part of the value of a period that has been used.

2.3 Downgrading a plan does not trigger a refund or account credit for the price difference. The downgrade takes effect at the next renewal, and you stay on your current plan until then.

2.4 Any capacity you did not use is non-refundable — for example, students you did not enroll, storage you did not use, or bandwidth you did not consume.

§3 — Cases where we always refund

Despite §2, we refund in the following cases. These relate to billing errors, not to a change of mind, and require no additional justification.

3.1 — Charged twice

If the same period was charged twice, we refund the full amount.

3.2 — Charged after cancellation

If you cancelled before the end of the period and were nevertheless charged again, we refund the full amount.

3.3 — Wrong amount charged

If an amount larger than your plan's stated price was charged, we refund the difference to reach the correct amount, or refund the full amount if the payment cannot be corrected.

3.4 — Unauthorized payment

If the card was used without the cardholder's authorization, we refund the full amount after verifying the case and take the steps needed to secure the account.

3.5 — Charged after the subscription was terminated

If we terminated the subscription and a charge was then made for it, we refund the full amount.

3.6 — An outage that made the platform unusable

If an outage on our side that support could not resolve caused the loss of a significant part of the paid period, we refund the affected days on a pro-rata basis.

Deadlines: you must notify us within 60 days of the payment appearing on your statement for cases §3.1 to §3.5, and within 14 days of the end of the affected period for case §3.6.

§4 — Cases where we may refund at our discretion

There are two cases outside §3 where we usually agree to a refund. These are a goodwill gesture, granted once per academy, and are not a guaranteed right.

4.1 — First payment, within 14 days

If the amount charged after the free trial ended is less than 14 days old, and you have not yet published a course or enrolled any student, we can refund the full amount on request.

4.2 — Unexpected annual renewal, within 7 days

We email you 7 days before the annual renewal. If the renewal still surprised you, you can contact us within 7 days of the payment, and we can refund the full amount, provided you have not made substantial use of the new year.

§5 — How the refund is carried out

5.1 — Always to the original card

Refunds are made through the payment provider to the card used for the original payment. A refund is never issued as LeadCourse Wallet balance, account credit, a bank transfer, or cash. Wallet balance is for student funds only; subscription fees do not pass through it.

5.2 — Same currency

Refunds are made in Egyptian pounds (EGP), the same currency as the original payment. Any difference from currency conversion or bank fees is between you and your bank.

5.3 — Timing

We send the refund request to the payment provider as soon as it is approved. The amount usually reaches the card within 5 to 15 business days, but the final posting date is determined by the card-issuing bank, not by LeadCourse.

5.4 — Partial refunds are possible

The total refunded from a single invoice cannot exceed the amount paid for that invoice. A second refund cannot be started while another refund is in progress.

5.5 — What you will see

The invoice status in Settings → Billing → Invoices changes to Refunded or Partially Refunded. A new version of the invoice PDF is issued showing the refunded amount, and the academy owner receives an email confirmation in Arabic or English. The invoice is not deleted; it remains as a permanent record of the payment and the refund.

5.6 — A refund does not cancel the subscription

Refunding money and ending the subscription are two separate actions. If you also want to stop the subscription, you can cancel it in Settings → Billing, or say so when you contact us, and we will do both.

§6 — Amounts that cannot be refunded

6.1 — The EGP 1 verification amount

EGP 1 is charged to verify the card, then refunded to the same card.

6.2 — Periods during which the account was suspended for a violation

No period during which the academy was suspended or terminated for a breach of the Terms of Use, fraud, or abuse — including trial abuse — can be refunded.

6.3 — Payments older than 60 days

Except where the law requires otherwise.

6.4 — Commissions and student payment processing fees

These fees are governed by §7 and by your academy's own refund policy, not by this policy.

6.5 — Amounts already transferred to your bank account

Once an amount has been sent to your bank account, the transfer is final. If a balance later becomes owed to us because of a refund or a reversal, it is settled from your future payouts.

6.6 — Upgrade charges after the new plan has been used

If you have already used the higher plan's limits, the pro-rated upgrade charge remains due and non-refundable.

§7 — Student refunds are separate

7.1 The decision to refund one of your students is yours. It is made in accordance with the refund policy you publish on your academy's storefront, and through your own payment gateway connection.

7.2 When a student's order is refunded, LeadCourse reverses the order's commission in proportion to the refunded amount, and the refunded amount is deducted from your Wallet. The payment processing fee for the original transaction is not returned, because the payment provider keeps it whether or not the transaction is later reversed.

7.3 This does not affect platform subscription fees. Refunding a student does not entitle you to a refund of your subscription fee.

§8 — Chargebacks

8.1 We recommend contacting us before filing a chargeback with your bank. The cases in §3 can be resolved with us faster, whereas a chargeback can take several weeks.

8.2 If a chargeback is filed against a subscription charge, we may suspend the academy until the dispute is resolved, and we will not issue a separate refund for the same transaction while the chargeback is ongoing.

8.3 If the decision is in our favour, the disputed amount and any fees charged to us become due before the academy is reactivated.

8.4 Subscription-related chargebacks are handled by our team in direct coordination with the payment provider. The outcome can take up to 45 days.

§9 — If your subscription ends because of non-payment

This section is not a refund rule, but it explains what happens when a renewal fails.

Day 0 — payment fails

The dashboard and the academy storefront stay open, but paid content stops being served to students. We retry the card daily.

Day 7 — academy suspended

The dashboard and the academy storefront are closed. Paying the outstanding invoice reopens everything immediately.

Day 12 — final warning

We email the academy owner to notify them that termination will occur in two days.

Day 14 — subscription terminated

The subscription ends and the videos and files you uploaded are permanently deleted. The account, students, orders, and invoices are retained.

If you need more time, contact us before day 14 and we can extend the account recovery period. Returning after that is a reactivation under §1: the full plan price is paid upfront, a new period begins that day, and you do not get a second free trial. Reactivation charges are governed by this same policy.

§10 — How to request a refund

Email support@leadcourse.com from the address linked to the account, and include: • The invoice number from Settings → Billing → Invoices. • The amount and date of the payment. • The clause in this policy you are relying on for the refund request. We will reply within two business days with our decision, and if approved we will state the refund amount. Every refund is approved by a LeadCourse account administrator, linked to the specific payment being reversed, and logged in the system.

Why is there no "Refund" button?

Refunds are deliberately not self-service. Every request is reviewed by a person, linked to a specific payment, and capped at the amount charged in that payment, so that no more than what is due is refunded and no refund is processed twice.

§11 — Changes and how to contact us

11.1 We may update this policy. The version that applies to any payment is the one published on the day the payment is made. We will email academy owners at least 14 days before any material change takes effect.

11.2 This policy is issued by LeadCourse LLC and is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Nothing in this policy limits any right granted to you by Egyptian consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.
